The project aims to reduce industrial waste and unlock circular economy opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina by transforming how textile and wood SMEs manage pre-consumer materials. By introducing a modular digital tool for tracking material flows and generating ESG micro-reports, the initiative enables companies to better understand, measure, and utilize their production waste. At the same time, it activates local creative potential by connecting these SMEs with women, youth, and vulnerable groups through a Co-Creation Circular Hub, where discarded materials are repurposed into functional products and new business ideas.
Implemented by OPTIONS in partnership with the Center for Energy, Energy Efficiency and the Environment, the project combines digital innovation with community-driven upcycling to create a scalable, replicable model. Through pilot testing with SMEs, hands-on workshops, and targeted training, the initiative strengthens circular skills, promotes sustainable production practices, and supports inclusive economic participation—particularly for women and underserved groups. By linking data, materials, and people, the project lays the groundwork for long-term environmental impact and future expansion across sectors and regions.
