The project introduces and tests medium-to-large mobile solar energy platforms in Zambia’s agriculture and conservation sectors, providing a clean, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to diesel generators. By deploying field-ready, high-capacity solar systems, the project enables smallholder farmers to power irrigation, processing, storage, and digital tools, while conservation rangers gain silent, portable energy for patrols, monitoring equipment, and anti-poaching operations. The initiative includes hands-on training for local technicians, farmers, and rangers, alongside a field-based proof of concept to measure performance, diesel displacement, and operational benefits. Results will be documented in a practical scale-up roadmap, strengthening local capacity, demonstrating renewable energy adoption, and supporting climate-resilient, low-emission operations across Zambia.
