The project explores the feasibility of converting waste wool into organic fertilizer pellets in Georgia. It addresses the problem of large volumes of low-quality wool being discarded or burned due to limited processing options and low market value. The solution introduces wool pelletizing technology—already used in the EU but new to Georgia—to transform waste wool into a high-value agricultural input that improves soil quality, retains water, and releases nutrients over time. Through feasibility analysis, pilot processing, and market assessment, the project evaluates technical, economic, and logistical viability, including export potential to EU markets. The project supports circular economy practices, reduces environmental pollution, and creates new income opportunities for farmers and rural communities, with strong potential for future scale-up.
