The assignment supports UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina’s efforts to strengthen cybersecurity education through the establishment of the Cybersecurity Master’s Programme at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. The initiative aims to address the country’s cybersecurity skills gap, strengthen national capacities to respond to cyber threats, and contribute to the protection of critical infrastructure and digital systems in line with EU and international standards.
As part of the programme, two international consultants are developing and delivering the courses Information Security Fundamentals and Cryptography. Their work includes the preparation of curricula, study materials, practical laboratory exercises, and assessment tools, as well as the delivery of online lectures and in-person lab sessions.
The assignments will provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in key cybersecurity areas, including information security governance, cybersecurity regulation, data protection, cryptographic systems, and emerging topics such as quantum cryptography. The courses will strengthen the academic foundation of the Cybersecurity Master’s Programme and contribute to the long-term development of cybersecurity expertise in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
