Policy Engagement Expert for the Nature, Climate and Energy Team

The expert will support the UNDP Cambodia Country Office’s Nature, Climate and Energy (NCE) Team across three key areas: policy engagement, project implementation, and partnership development. They will contribute to strengthening UNDP’s role in environmental and climate policy by conducting research, supporting stakeholder coordination (including for the National Plastic Action Partnership), and preparing policy briefs, reports, and knowledge products tailored for both government officials and youth audiences.

The expert will also assist with the effective implementation of NCE projects such as the Climate Promise, by supporting activity planning, reviewing project deliverables, and helping prepare key documents like concept notes and Terms of Reference. They will contribute to communications and visibility efforts through the creation of project briefs, success stories, and other outreach materials.

Lastly, the expert will play a role in expanding UNDP’s partnerships and pipeline opportunities, particularly by supporting youth engagement in climate governance, mapping youth organizations, and contributing to the design and preparation of new project proposals and funding applications in line with national climate and environmental goals.
