Assessment of 3 municipalities in Georgia for identifying entry points for capacity building through the transfer of Czech expertise
This project, implemented by two Czech experts, aimed to assess the participatory methodologies and practices in the municipalities of Kutaisi, Gori, and Kazbegi, Georgia, focusing on local democratic development and citizen engagement, particularly among youth groups. The objective is to identify entry points for capacity building through the transfer of Czech expertise, enhancing local democracy, socio-economic development, and investment opportunities.
The assignment involves reviewing existing local-level participatory mechanisms, donor-supported initiatives, and the readiness of municipalities and local populations to engage in new capacity-building initiatives. The goal is to outline potential areas for capacity building through Czech expertise exchange, fostering enhanced local democracy and economic growth.
Findings were shared with Local Action Groups, UNDP CO and the Czech Embassy in Tbilisi.
