Development of Course Content for Cybersecurity Master’s Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina
In response to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s growing vulnerability to cyber threats and the critical shortage of trained professionals in this field, UNDP is supporting the development of the country’s first structured Master’s degree in cybersecurity. This assignment engages two experts—one focusing on the technical dimensions of cybersecurity and the other on the legal and regulatory framework—to jointly develop ten key modules of the curriculum: High-Tech Crime, Information Security Legislation, Privacy, Risk Management, Information Security Policies, System security, Malware, Mobile Device Security, Threat Analysis, Offensive Safety.
The objective is to produce a high-quality, practice-oriented academic program aligned with international standards and tailored to local needs. The experts will collaborate closely with the Lead Professor and UNDP to design structured course content, recommend essential literature, and ensure thematic coherence across 12–14 weeks of study for each module. The resulting content will serve as the foundation for the Cybersecurity Master’s programme to be launched in 2025, equipping future professionals with the competencies needed to protect national digital infrastructure and advance the country’s cyber resilience.
