Innovative use of hospital waste as source of energy

Waste management is a significant problem in Moldova. A large amount of waste is deposited in unprotected landfills. The project is aimed at hospital waste management, specifically with hospitals that have to deal with hazardous waste. The project helps to build a waste incinerator within a hospital (IMPS Mother and Child Center in Chisinau) and enable the waste management without the need of further transport or production of the secondary commissions.

The project has been coordinated by EVECO Brno, s.r.o., the company holding a patent for its novel solutions in the area of thermal treatment of waste and heat utilization.
