Unique modular camera system for inspection and maintenance of sewage networks in Moldova

Most of the existing sewage system in Moldova is dated and in a bad condition. Several municipalities have recently decided to fix this situation by investing into maintenance of sewage networks and wastewater treatment. Their effort has also been supported by the Czech Development Agency (ČRA).

Proper equipment to inspect sewage network is needed to act upon this new demand and complement these investments. In Moldova, the main company involved in this work is Boncom but it does not possess all the latest technology. Czech innovator Zikmund electronics s.r.o. will work with Boncom, provide their latest equipment and train Boncom’s technicians who will carry on the task after the project ends.

Project’s final beneficiaries will be the citizens of Moldovan municipalities where the equipment is to be used. Also private businesses located there will benefit from improved water and sewage conditions which can also affect the health of the population. It may also have a positive impact on the price of public utility services due to better condition of pipelines and reduction of disruptions and losses. Ultimately, this new equipment will create new skilled workplaces in Boncom in provision of camera inspection services nationwide.
